A full day of Language Arts!

We spent the entire day today in our Language Arts groups because of Artist in Residence. We completed a really neat watercolor lesson and learned ab out resistance and what adding salt can do to a painting.

While in our Language Arts groups, we continued on with our novel study. We completed a graphic organizer for lessons 11-13. Read chapters 14 and 15, discussed our new vocabulary, and picked out more literary elements. Wow! I am so impressed with how well the students can pick out literary elements now without any help. We also took some time to start a 15 sentence portrait paragraph of either Matt or Attean(Characters from our novel study). So far, they are turning out very nice!

Homework:
***Comprehension Check tomorrow over chapters 11-15
***Reread the chapters for the Comprehension checkup
