Everyone looks rested after our three day weekend!
Language Arts:
Today in language Arts we covered a lot. We took our spelling pretest, discussed our new RIT words for the week. They are as follows: verse, works cited, third person point of view, understatement, and symbol. We also discussed our new vocabulary for our story of the week, listened to our read a loud and reviewed irregular plural and singular nouns. We also found a few minutes to jot down ideas about what was on our minds. We will share these things later on in the week.

Social Studies:
Today in Social Studies we played a review game. The students were divided into two teams. Each student wrote 3 compare/contrast questions about the American Indian groups and the regions they inhabited. This was a fun way to review their chart of facts and an excellent way to review for the test next week.
Homework:
***Chapter 3 test- Monday
Reminders:
***A note was sent home today about a D.A.R.E. Read-a-thon that we will be having. Please read the information that was sent home in blue folders.
Until tomorrow...
