2/10/11

Tomorrow is the last day for gum grams!

Language Arts:
Today was a mixed up day. Since we had a two hour delay this morning, we implemented an alternate schedule. We had Language Arts until recess and math all afternoon until the end of the day.

In Language Arts we finished a chapter in our read a loud, reviewed our RIT vocabulary, switched for Vocabulary Vine, worked on sorting our spelling words, and completed a worksheet that dealt with the rhyme schemes of poetry.

Homework:
***Reading calendars are due tomorrow
***If you bring in your reading calendar, you will be able to participate in our camp under. Remember to bring in your pillows and blankets for this fun reading event!
***Science Expo projects need to be taken home

Math:
Today we completed a minute, worked on computation, graded our homework, went over our fraction quiz which was passed back today, and spent a great deal of time on problem solving. The students were also given a good chunk of time to work on their homework.

Homework:
***Get fraction quiz signed
***Journal pages 272-275
***We will be having another fraction quiz tomorrow. You will be asked to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions. All fractions should be reduced to lowest terms. You will also be asked to solve "fraction of a whole" problems.
