4/13/10

Finally a sunny afternoon!

Language Arts:
Things are gearing up around here for MAP testing. The students are ready and we will test Reading MAP tomorrow! I look forward to seeing their growth and having that part of the year behind us. We still have several weeks of learning, though...

Today we worked on comparative and superlative adjectives, switched for Vocabulary Vine, and finished up our writing.

Homework:
***Weekly Homework Packet
***Study Spelling words and RIT vocabulary(Reading MAP is tomorrow at 9:15)
***Grammar sheet is due tomorrow if it was not completed during class time.
***Green State Float sheet is due on Thursday with a parent signature. You should be finished with your research, and have all of your sources sites on your cards.

Math:
Today we added a few more terms to our list of RIT vocabulary, graded our homework, and worked on problem solving.
***Please note that a note was sent home today about a change in our Math MAP testing date. We will test next Monday, April 19th at 12:50.

Homework:
***None- We earned our 10th chip today.

Social Studies:
Today we finished up Chapter 8 by reading and discussing Chapter 8. We had some time to complete a journal entry in our Interactive Student Notebooks. If it was not finished in class, it is due tomorrow.

We will review Chapter 8 tomorrow and our test will be on Friday. (Thursday is Art Smart.)

Homework:
***Journal entry if it was not completed in class.


Reminders:
Homeroom students- Camp permission slip/ emergency information, and money are due on Friday.
