McTeacher night was a huge success! Our school earned over $500.oo!-Thank you!

Today in Language Arts, we added more word parts to our Vocabulary Vine, reviewed past, present, and future verbs, and worked in small groups with leveled readers. Most of the students were finished in time to take their AR test over the leveled reader. If they did not have time today, they will have a chance to do so after assessments tomorrow.

Homework:
***Fluency and Flow is due tomorrow. We will also have our assessments as usual.
***Remember that reading projects are due next Friday.
***Read and record minutes. Every child is expected to read and pass at least 1-2 books on their lexile level each grading period. The end of the grading period is soon approaching! I would like to see them reading and recording minutes each night. Independent reading is a 4th grade expectation.

Today in Math we completed our minute, worked on computation, and continued on our study of rates. The students are getting pretty good at being able to figure out which buys at the grocery store are the best deal! We worked on figuring out the unit price per ounce and per pound. You might ask them to help you save some money during your next trip to the grocery store!

Homework:
***Pages 341 and 342
***Our test over Unit 12- Rates- will be on Tuesday of next week.

Today in Social Studies we reviewed Chapter 2 lesson 1 and discussed lesson 2. The students will have a short quiz tomorrow over just lesson 1 notes.

Homework:
***Study the handout for the quiz tomorrow
***Practice book pages 23 and 24

Reminders:
***Donuts with Dad is tomorrow from 7:00-8:00.

Until tomorrow...
