A Fabulous Finish...
We had a great day today. Even though it was a Friday, all the students seemed content(even after a feast of donuts) and we were able to get a lot accomplished!
Today in Language Arts we were able to review during Vocabulary Vine, complete all of our weekly assessments, and work on our writing prompt. Many prompts were handed in completed but if not, the final copy is homework.
Homework:
***Read and record minutes
***Finish up writing prompt on snowflake paper
***Reading projects are due on Dec. 12
***The end of the grading period is soon approaching. Everyone needs to be reading and taking AR tests before the 19th of December.
In Math today we worked on our minute, practiced a variety of computation skills, and started a display of rate pricing. During this time, students had to figure the price per pound, per ounce, and per item of a given quantity. Our classroom was very busy with students performing a variety of computation skills in order to figure out their rates and pricing. These will be displayed in our classroom next week.
Homework:
***Our test over rates will be on Tuesday of next week. This is our last official unit in 4th grade math. I will be teaching them a few mini lessons of a few skills before the end of the grading period as well as getting them ready for their end of the year 4th grade test.
In Social Studies, we took our Chapter 2- lesson 1 quiz, review both lessons and read and discussed lesson 3. We will review all three lesson on Monday as well as read lesson 4. On Tuesday we will play a game to review all the concepts. Our test for Chapter 2 will be on Tuesday.
Homework:
***No practice book pages
***Our test will be on Tuesday over Chapter 2
