1/28/11

Reminders:
***All Science Expo Projects and packets are due on Monday, January 31. No exceptions!
***Have you heard about the Family Homework Project yet? The instructions were sent home in the Northpoint newsletter. All projects are due no later than February 25.

Language Arts:
Today was a busy day! After we spent some time in the computer lab typing our poetry, we came back into the classroom to get started on our assessments. It seemed as though we just got started when it was time to load the buses for the Pops Concert. The students really seemed to enjoy themselves and I was proud of their behavior!

Math:
Math was cut short this morning due to the concert, so we did not work on a new lesson today. Instead, we completed a minute and worked on white boards practicing finding the number of tiles needed to tile a room, fractions, and problem solving.

Social Studies:
Today we completed the summary for chapter 8 and read and discussed the Reading Further section. The students were then assigned page 51 in their ISNB. This is homework that is due for my homeroom class on Tuesday, Feb. 1.
Remember to start studying for the test over chapter 8. Study guides were passed out yesterday.

Have a great wekend... Remember your Science Expo projects on Monday!
