What a great day!
We had a great day today. Even though the weather was beautiful outside, all the students were able to stay focused and we accomplished a lot!
Language Arts: We were able to get through many things this morning. We had our first rotation of Vocabulary Vine, completed a grammar page, reviewed both the story vocabulary and RIT vocabulary and listened to our read aloud. We ended Language Arts with a short discussion about bullying before heading off to double specials.
Homework:
***Weekly Homework Packet- due Friday
***Study Spelling and Vocabulary- All assessments will be given Friday.
***Read at least 20 minutes tonight and log the minutes on the front page of the Weekly Homework Packet.

Math: We completed our Math Minute that had a variety of review skills, worked on a few algebraic expressions during computation time, reviewed our weekly RIT vocabulary, and played a game called Landmark Shark. This game is an Everyday Math game that practices finding the range, median, and mode in a set of data. The students had fun and it was an excellent way to practice.
Homework:
***Math Box and Study Link 1.4

Social Studies: We had a great time today locating the Geographic terms on maps in our interactive workbook. We found a gulf, sea, lake, delta, mouth, tributary, mountain range, cape, and valley. We also worked with partners to find Physical Features as well. Tomorrow we will plan a game of Pictionary to review each term. (It should be fun!) Our test over Chapter 1 will be on Monday. Be looking for a study guide to come home tomorrow.
