What a busy day!
Language Arts: The morning just flew by! We took all of our weekly assessments, discussed point of view and used it in a journal writing piece. We also visited the library and had the chance to find a book in our lexile range.
Homework:
***Reading project- due October 14th

Math: After working on our math minute, we dove into some intense computation. The students were able to practice multiplying decimals, algebraic equations, and recognizing mathematical symbols. After that, we discussed step graphs.(These usually cause the most difficulty...) We ended the class with a quiz covering finding the mean. We will finish this on Monday because they did not have enough time.
Homework:
None-In looking ahead- It looks as though our Unit 1 test will probably be the Tuesday after Labor Day. A practice guide will be given at the end of the week.

Social Studies: Today we met with our groups and created 5 challenge questions for our review game. The questions included finding the latitude and longitude, geographic terms, naming the continents, oceans, and the Great Lakes. We ended the class with writing a journal entry in our interactive workbooks. The students had to use geographic terms in describing their journey from Indiana to California. These were very interesting!
Homework:
***Study for the test-It is Monday. Use your study guide to help you.
Until Monday...
