Language Arts: We had a busy morning ! We took our spelling pretest, reviewed our new story vocabulary words, listened to our story on tape, and completed a plot and setting chart about the story. Weekly Homework Packets were passed out today. Please remember that a parent signature is required. I would also like parents to initial reading minutes each night. An unsigned homework packet will result in an "oops" this week.
Spelling: This week we are working on the long vowel sounds.
Grammar: The skill for the week is simple and complete subjects and predicates.
RIT Vocabulary: Five new words were added to our list this week. (Ask your child the definitions every day!)

Social Studies: We took our test today over Chapter1. We will dive into Chapter 2 tomorrow. Chapter 2 is called American Indians and Their Land. This looks like a fun chapter as well!
