What a Wednesday!

Language Arts: We had a productive day in Language Arts today. We were able to have Vocabulary Vine and review some words from last year, go over our spelling words and synonyms for them as well as review our RIT words of the week. We also came up with a variety of topics for our first Writing Marathon. I am impressed with the writers in our class!

Homework:
***Worksheet-Page 5 and 6 is due tomorrow
***Weekly Homework Packet- due Friday. Please make sure that you complete all sections including a parent signature and logged reading minutes for each night. Your summary should be 7-10 sentences in length and written in your best cursive handwriting. The questions need to be answered in complete sentences.

Reminders:
***Our Parent Information Night is Thursday at 5:30. Your child should have an index card with their teachers name on it. Please bring it with you to Parent Information Night to help you rotate to each of their classes.

Math: Our Math class flew by as usual. After we completed our math minute, we spent some time on the floor reviewing computation at the board. Our lesson for the day dealt with broken line graphs. We ended the day with a short exit card. This helps me see if we are making progress in what is being taught.

Homework:
***Math Box and Study Link 1.5

Social Studies: Today in Social Studies, we discussed and located Physical features on a map in our interactive workbook. Next, we planned a fun game of Pictionary to review the Geographic Terms from chapter 1. A study guide was passed out today to help each student get an early start on studying for Monday's test.

Homework:
***Review for the test which will be on Monday.

Until tomorrow...
