Welcome Back to School!
Language Arts:
This morning was a busy one! Right after double specials we jumped right into our first novel study of the year. Right now we are reading Frindle by Andrew Clements. This is a cool book that some of my students heard about last year. We are planning to do a lot or work with it by reading our chapters in class, working on detailed comprehension questions, writing reflections, working in small groups, and working on finding figurative language throughout the novel. Because of this novel study, there will not be a weekly homework packet. Instead, the students will have nightly homework. Please see to it that they keep up with the assignments each night.
Homework:
***Writing Reflection
***Comprehension questions
***Book orders are due on Thursday

Math:
Today in math we completed our minute, worked on computation practice, and found a way to find the Greatest Common Factor of two numbers by using prime factorization. Next, we jumped into our last Unit in 4th grade math. This unit deals with rates. We will plan on finishing up this unit and taking the End of the Year Assessment before winter break.
Homework:
