It is Friday-Hurray!
We had a great day! Our morning was very busy with assessments and specials. Please remind your child to make use of their library time on Fridays by picking out an AR book. Now that Accelerated Reader is up and running, I expect to see many tests taken. Remember: Our Cereal Box Project is due on October 10. Rubrics and specifications have been sent home about it. Encourage your child to get a head start on the project. Waiting until the last minute often brings tears!
In Math today, we covered many skills. Instead of today being a game day, we had white board computation for most of the class period. The students also worked on a short assessment covering previous skills. This helps me keep track of which standards need revisited throughout the year.
In Social Studies, we had our Chapter 2 test. This was the final day for Social Studies for Miss Grannan's class. They (Miss Grannan's homeroom students) will have Health starting on Monday. I will start Social Studies with Mrs. Woods' class on Monday as well.
***Please look for Miss Grannan's homeroom students to bring their Social Studies Chapter 2 test home on Monday night. It needs a parent signature and returned to me on Tuesday.
