A Snowy Tuesday!

Today was a short one in Language Arts. We switched for Vocabulary Vine, reviewed RIT vocabulary, spent some time comparing Word Master words and their definitions and took a test over our novel study book, Hatchet.

Homework:
***Study Word Master words(Both sets)
***Read and record minutes-Calendars are due on Friday
***Permission slips for our field trip are in blue folders. Please sign and return them by Friday.

Math:
Math went great today. After our usual time spent on the minute, computation, and problem solving, we jumped right into our lesson which dealt with making enlargements using ratios. The concept of ratios is getting easier for the kids everyday. I was happy to hear one student say, "I can't believe that I knew very little about ratios and they are everywhere!"

Homework:
***Journal pages 323,324, 325

Social Studies:
Today in Social Studies we reviewed both the Legislative and Executive Branch of Government and then added the Judicial Branch . The students then completed a worksheet on their own which they should use as a study guide for an upcoming "pop" quiz by the end of the week.

Homework:
***Study your map. We will have our states test tomorrow. This will be the last day of this rotation.
***Review your Branches of Government sheets. We will have a short quiz covering this material later in the week.

Until tomorrow...
