Our second day of ISTEP is over! We only have one more day left!
Language Arts:
Today we read and discussed chapters 20 and 21 in our novel study. The students were asked to read chapter 22 independently(4 pages). They were then given time to work on their journal entries and their Tic-Tac-Toe projects.
Monday will be our test over our novel. All journal entries and the projects will be due on Wednesday. The students have time each day to work on these in class.
(The students should not be working on this at home until after ISTEP testing is over.)

Social Studies:(Both classes)
Today we voted on our travel itinerary for our class trip to Hawaii. We also read the summary of chapter 12 and the students were given time to work on their letter about visiting the West region.
Study guides were passed out earlier this week. The chapter 12 test will be next Tuesday for Mrs. Doms' class and next Wednesday for my homeroom. The letters,however, are due on Monday. Each student is required to turn in both the rough draft and the final copy in either ink(cursive) or typed. Both copies must be turned in to get credit. Please refer to the instructions sheet to ensure that all parts of the assignment are completed.
(This should not be worked on until after ISTEP testing is over.)
