Well, we made it! ISTEP is over!
Language Arts:
Today we read chapters 23 and 24 in our novel study. We will finish our novel study tomorrow, write the last of our journal entries, complete a few activities, and finish up our Tic-Tac-Toe projects.(These are all due next Wednesday and the test is this coming Monday.)
Math:
Today we worked on finding the volume of a pyramid. The students took quite some time to figure out that a particular pyramid can have a volume of 85, 656,144 cubic feet. We will continue with this tomorrow and wrap up this unit. Our test will be early next week over Unit 11.
Social Studies:(Doms)
Today we read and discussed the Reading Further section in our chapter. This helped us learn about the Pacific Crest Trail that runs from California, through Oregon, and into Washington. We also spent some time creating travel brochures about this exciting place to visit!
Homework:
***Letters are due about the West on Monday(Both classes) Use the handout as a guide. You will need to hand in both the rough draft and the final copy.
***Chapter 12 test is on Tuesday for Mrs. Doms' class and Wednesday for my homeroom class. Remember- You have a study guide. Please study from it.
