4/21/09

Another dreary day!

Language Arts: Today flew by! We worked in Vocabulary Vine, listened to two chapters in our read aloud, and practiced identifying comparative and superlative adjectives. We spent a few minutes writing important upcoming dates in our planners. Be looking for them! The next few weeks are packed with things going on.

Homework:
***Fluency and Flow- Use complete sentences and your personal best cursive.
***Spelling Test and Weekly Assessments- Friday
***Wax Museum- due May 15th- Did you finish your biography yet?

Math: We reviewed a variety of skills on white boards and completed a practice test for our test on Thursday. The test will cover the following skills: algebraic equations, pan balances, temperature conversions, rates, tables, and graphs, area and circumference of a circle, and a few problems reviewing volume.

Reminder:
***I will be taking Mr. Wood's Language Arts class to the computer lab tomorrow to finish their Math MAP test.

Homework:
***Study the Math practice test. It is a great review for the test.

Content: We took our Chapter 6 test today. We will not have content tomorrow due to a special presentation by Mr. Lovett. Our last day of this rotation will be on Friday. We will spend Thursday and Friday discussing Chapter 7 briefly and review map skills.

Homework:
***Chapter 6 Review is due on Thursday if you did not hand it in already.

Until tomorrow...
