Language Arts:
We made a lot of progress today in class. We took our vocabulary quiz and read and discussed the next chapter. We sure are finding a lot of examples of figurative language in our chapters! We also spent some time working on our comprehension questions right after we met with our 3rd grade Reading Buddies.

Today we completed our minute, worked on algebra during our board work time, and practiced with bar graphs during our daily lesson.

Social Studies:
Today we reviewed geographic terms, read and discussed the summary of chapter 1, and learned about a family and the hardships they faced traveling from Missouri during the Gold Rush.
Study guides were passed out today. My homeroom class will take their test on Thursday, September 8. Please use the study guide to help prepare you for the test.
