Language Arts:
Today in class we took our usual vocabulary quiz, discussed questions from chapter 15, and read the next chapter. (This was a very long one!) We also discussed what was expected when writing their own personal myths that matches their vases that are hanging in our hall. Next, it was off to reading buddies and Vocabulary Vine.
Homework:
***Study 5 vocabulary words
***Complete the Chapter 16 comprehension questions
***Write a one page(at least) myth on lined paper.

Math: Thinking Thursday
Right after completing our minute, we worked on Thinking Thursday. The students were given their RIT vocabulary packets and we discussed the definitions and drew examples of each term. The students will be given an assessment over these terms each week as we build our new RIT vocabulary.
The lesson today consisted of writing small numbers by using negative powers of ten and decimals. The students caught on fast! They worked hard and they were amazing in class.
Homework:
***No additional homework-just the Friday skill sheet

We did not have Social Studies. Instead, the students met for the first time with Officer Redman, our D.A.R.E. officer.
Reminders:

Until tomorrow...
