Language Arts:
We are really moving right along in our novel study. Today we took our daily vocabulary quiz, reviewed the comprehension questions from chapter 8, and read the next chapter. Things are really "heating up" for our main character, Percy. Did he really steal the lightning bolt? The students are excited to read on to find out what happens next! Tomorrow we will be adding to our time line, evaluating the characters, and writing to make a text -to- self connection.

Math: Word Problem Wednesday
Our lesson today dealt with circle graphs and percent circles. This is a fun skill but we still need some extra practice in order to measure within about 5 degrees. We ended the day with an exit card that covered explaining what the 5 different landmarks are. The scores were amazing!

Social Studies: (Doms)
Today we played a Jeopardy game as a way to review for our chapter 1 test. The students were given a study guide last week that explains exactly what they need to know for the test. Please review it. They were given the opportunity to keep their Interactive Student Notebooks to study from so I will be collecting them on Friday to their journal entry on page 7.
