Language Arts:
We are wrapping things up with our novel. By the end of the week we will have taken the test and completed our last vocabulary quiz. We will still have a few writing activities and collaborative activities next week while we are jumping into the basal.
In class today we took our vocabulary test, discussed the questions from chapters 17 and 18 and read and discussed all that is happening in chapter 19. Boy does this book have some action! No sooner do we get through with one exciting thing then we are introduced to another character and something else is happening!
The students were given work time in class today to work on their homework. If they used their time wisely, they should have little to no homework other than studying for their vocabulary quiz tomorrow and their test on Friday.(Study guides were passed our today.)
Homework:
***Study 5 vocab. words
***Chapter 19 comprehension questions-You pick 10!
***Text-to-Self Connection
***Rewrite your myth on the special paper. Be sure to edit it with a parent.

We ended our class with taking the test over the states and capitals of the Midwest Region of the United States.

***Chapter 2 test will be next Monday, September 26 as well as the states and capitals test over the Southwest region of the United States. Study guides are being copied. Be looking for them tomorrow.
Until tomorrow...
