Language Arts:
Today was a fun day in Language Arts! After we finished with reviewing and practicing our grammar skill of the week, we gathered by the rocking chair and worked on some research on the Ipad which involved different kinds of deciduous and coniferous trees for creating our brochures. The students really enjoyed viewing the different kinds of leaves of each tree and learning all the specific facts about where they are found and what particular things their wood is used for.

***Weekly Homework Packet- due Friday
***Picture prompt writing and brochure will be due on Monday.(These should be kept at school because the students will have time to work on them as they finish up other things in class.)

Math:Word Problem Wednesday
Today we worked on lesson 3.10 which continued to practice formulas, variables, and graphs.

***Our Unit test will be on Friday and our Unit 4 pretest will be on Monday of next week.

Social Studies:(Doms')
Today we finished up our chapter by reading and discussing the Reading Further section of our chapter. The students were given a handout about the four tribes that we read about today. This chart will be very useful in preparing for the test on Monday.
Homework:
***Test over chapter 3 is on Monday for Mrs. Doms' homeroom students. Use the study guide and both charts to help you prepare for the test.
***The letter from your Interactive Student Notebook page 20 is due on Monday as well. Please follow the guidelines found on page 20. This should be on regular notebook paper to be handed in prior to the test.
