What a beautiful day!
Language Arts:
We spent our morning working on commas in a series, subjects and predicates, and reviewing the plot and vocabulary of our weekly story. We also spent time working on our weekly writing prompt which deals with writing about a hero. This is a personal narrative and should include "voice." The final draft for this writing is due on Monday.

Math: Word Problem Wednesday
After completing our minute, we worked on several word problems of the day. It is my goal to have the students draw small pictures or sketches while trying to solve word problems as well as to show all of their work. So far, it is starting to work.
Our lesson today focused on a science experiment and the rate in which an object falls to the ground. Interesting!
Homework:
***Math Boxes 3.5 and #.6
***Friday Skill Sheet

Social Studies:(Doms)
Today we continued on with our discussion of the American Indians of the Southwest, Great Plains, Plateau, and Eastern Woodlands. We learned about their environment, their types of clothing, homes, and artifacts that they used. We also filled out our workbooks which will be an excellent study tool while preparing for our next test.
Until tomorrow...
