Language Arts:
Today in class Mr. Kisler started by giving the spelling pre-test. From there, he discussed 10 new RIT vocabulary words and the story vocabulary for the week. This week we are reading Shiloh. Be sure to review the vocabulary words and their meanings as you read the story together.
In grammar, we took time to review the grammar skill for the week. This week we are focusing on both common and proper nouns.
Homework:
***Weekly homework packet-due Friday
***Don't forget about the reading project that is due on December 16th. This is a nine week project and should reflect nine weeks worth of effort. Keep reading!

Math:
Today in math we completed our minute and spent our computation time working on the trick of the day. (Ask your child how to mentally figure out what 107 squared is. They should be able to explain it to you without any computation.) Our lesson for the day worked on finding the degree sector of a circle and finding the coordinates of a coordinate grid.
Homework:
***Math boxes 5.3, 5.4, 5.5
