Today was a nasty day! The kids were not at all happy about having indoor recess, but I did see a few students gearing up for the I Love To Read Challenge by reading...
Language Arts flew by! The students spent their time listening to details about the upcoming I Love To Read Challenge, reviewing skills for ISTEP, typing their poetry, and working on a practice ISTEP writing prompt. Tomorrow we will spend some time reviewing our writing and color coding our papers.
Homework:
***Fluency and Flow questions are due on Friday
***Spelling words 2x each in cursive
***Handwriting packet
***Prefix/Suffix sheet or Sequencing sheet
***Study the "O" list for this weeks test
***Reading projects are due on March 6th. Please do not wait until the last minute! These projects require nine weeks worth of effort.
***Read and record reading minutes in their planner on the calendar page.

In Math, the students worked on computation and finding a fraction of the set, and the percent of the whole set. This lesson was a review for several students and it went smoothly .
