It is Friday and a three day weekend!
Language Arts: In Language Arts, we read independently, wrote our introductions to our writing prompt, and completed our assessments. The students felt much more comfortable taking these assessments this week. I think they are already into the routine!
Homework:No homework. Remember though, it is never to early to read, complete a book, and start our nine week cereal box project. It is due on Oct. 10.
Math: During Math today,the students rotated through an assessment, working individual with me, and playing games that focused on both subtraction and multiplication. For the first time rotating, this went very well.
Homework: No homework.
Social Studies: In Social Studies, we reviewed for our Chapter 1 test which will be on Sept. 3. The students also completed 2 pages in their practice books where they reviewed the terminology from the chapter and had to describe the differences between the different Native American groups.
Homework:No written homework -but studying for the test by reviewing our notes is a great idea!
