Terrific Tuesday!
We had a great day and were able to get a lot accomplished on a double special day.
In Language Arts, we reviewed the following: synonyms, our six new vocabulary words, RIT Language and Reading vocabulary, completed a sheet on action verbs, worked a page in our handwriting book, and discussed the correct usage of quotation marks. We had just enough time to squeeze in a few pages of our read a loud. The students are getting excited to hear what might happen to Aslan, the White Witch, and the four children from the wardrobe. This might just inspire them to read the other books in the Narnia series!
Homework:
***Fluency and Flow is due on Friday
***Spelling test on Friday
***Bring in items for our food drive. We would love to have enough items to make a family's Thanksgiving the best ever!
***Read for 20-30 minutes/ Record minutes
In Math, we completed our minute, worked a few computation problems, and spent the rest of our time on volume. Since this is a difficult skill, I plan on spending more time on it. My plan is to review all unit 11 skills and have a test over the unit on either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. I would like to test before the Thanksgiving break.
Homework: None- We worked very hard in class today :o)
In Social Studies, we reviewed Chapter 3- Lessons 1-3 . We completed our quiz and the students started to work on the review for the chapter. We will not have Social Studies tomorrow due to Art Smart. Our test over this chapter will be Thursday, November, 20. Our last class for this rotation is Monday, Nov.24.
Homework: Study the notes for the test.
Until tomorrow...
