Be sure to check out the letter that was sent home today with the" youngest and only" students!

Language Arts: This morning we completed our word sort and definitions during spelling. We also practiced simple/complete subjects, and simple and compound predicates. I feel that the students are ready for their test tomorrow. We finished our read aloud as well.

Homework:
***Book orders are due tomorrow. I plan on sending them in tomorrow afternoon.
***Weekly Homework Packet is due tomorrow. Don't forget your parent signature and initial on
nightly reading minutes.
***Assessments will be given tomorrow. Please look over vocabulary, RIT words, and your independent spelling list.
***Keep in mind that our first reading project is due on October 14th. Students should be reading and taking tests on a regular basis.

Math: Today in math, we spent 30 minutes in the lab working on 6th grade Study Island skills. In class we reviewed the upcoming test over graphs and finding the mean.

Homework:
***None- Test tomorrow
***Unit 2 pretest will be on Tuesday

Social Studies: Today we discussed a picture of the Inuits in their surroundings. We then acted out what their roles were in the family as a means of survival. We had quite an interesting discussion as well. We read section 2.5 in our books and wrote a summary using the new vocabulary in our interactive workbooks. We ended the class with a discussion of the chapter vocabulary.

Homework:
***Because of Tuesday's Presidential speech, we will need to postpone the test until Thursday of next week.
***Daily Geography is due tomorrow
