Another sunny September day!
Language Arts: This morning in Language Arts the students worked on 5th grade Greek and Latin Roots in Vocabulary Vine, discussed creating complex sentences, and listened to our new read aloud. We also discussed finding the main idea and how it can help us create detailed summaries.

Math: We continued working on writing large and small numbers using standard notation and scientific notation. We also worked together in creating a Box-and Whisker-Plot. The RIT vocabulary flowed much better today as we worked through our example together.

Journal pages 58 and 60( Time was given in class to work on these pages.)

Social Studies: We put the finishing touches on our geographic landforms today. They are finally complete and on display in the library. We will review what we have learned from this rotation on Thursday.(D.A.R.E. starts tomorrow so we will not have content. It will be every Wednesday for the next 10 weeks.) Our new rotation will start on Friday.
