Another gorgeous day!

Language Arts:
This morning in Language Arts we worked on white boards on complex and compound sentences. This really seemed to help us today! The students are getting really good at locating the conjunction and deciding what kind of sentence it is. We also worked with our editing partners in revising a paragraph, discussed examples of the RIT words for the week and we even had about 15 minutes to squeeze in a chapter of our read aloud. During computer lab we took some time to take AR tests and spent the remainder of the time working on Study Island skills.

Homework:
***Weekly Homework Packet is due/Assessments-Friday

Math:
We are really plowing through this unit in Math. Today we worked together again on basic skills during computation, completed a box-and-whisker plot, and practiced standard/scientific notation. Our test will be on Friday.

Homework:
***Journal pages 62-65, and 67

Content:
We did not have Social Studies today. We had our first session of D.A.R.E. instead. The students were very excited and extremely well behaved during Officer Redman's lesson. This program will continue for the next 9 weeks.

Tomorrow will be our last Social Studies class for this rotation. The students will start Health on Friday with Mrs. Doms.

Reminders:
***Tomorrow is our Welcome Back Picnic. It sounds like a lot of fun!

Until tomorrow...
