Language Arts:
This morning we reviewed our vocabulary from Chapter 1 in our novel study, shared some of our persuasive paragraphs, and read chapter 2 together. The students are getting really good at recognizing figurative language as it pops up in the chapter
Homework:

***Chapter 2 comprehension questions
***Write a prediction about what you think will happen next. This should be in paragraph form of 7-10 sentences in length.
***Reminder- Our first book project is due on Oct. 14. Be sure to refer to the handout for specific requirements and expectations.

Math:
Today in math we reviewed skills during computation time and focused on formulas during our lesson. The students had time to work on their homework in class after working on a standard assessment.

Content:
Today in content we spent a lot of time reviewing chapter 1. The students also took time to create challenge questions of their own. We will use these questions as a short review prior to the test on Thursday. Please be sure to reread the chapter. It is a short one! It is also helpful to review the study guide and the geography dictionary as well.
(We will not have content tomorrow due to D.A.R.E, so please remember to study tomorrow night.)
