A Windy Wednesday!
Language Arts:
Computer Lab time was spent working on Study Island. I was quite impressed to hear that many students are taking advantage of this at home and working independently there. Way to go!
This morning in Language Arts we were able to share some of our predictions for our novel study, discuss the literary terms found throughout the chapter, and ask questions based on chapter 2. In class we read chapter 3 together, discussed the new vocabulary, and had quite an intense discussion on Jess and his loneliness. The students were given time to work on a synonym worksheet and start their homework.
Homework:
***Synonym worksheet
***5 vocabulary words of their choice(In novel study folder)
***Chapter 3 comprehension questions(Use literary terms dictionary in your novel study folder)
***Writing: (Characterization: What do you think about Jess?) This should be a detailed paragraph of 7-10 sentences.

Homework:
***Math Box and Study Link 3.8
***The students were given the "heads up" that our Unit test will be early next week.

Content: We did not have content today. We enjoyed Officer Redman teach us about the dangers of tobacco in our third D.A.R.E lesson instead.
Reminder: We will have our Chapter 1 test tomorrow. Please review the study guide and geography dictionary.
Until tomorrow...
