Our Pictures are Here...Our Pictures are Here!
Be sure to check backpacks.

Language Arts:
We had a filled morning. Since Friday is cut short because of the No Child Left Inside activities, we had to cover a lot of things.(We will be having most of our assessments tomorrow because of this.) We practiced quotation marks, sentence fragments and run-on sentences. We also worked with our editing partners on editing two different paragraphs, listened to our read aloud, worked on handwriting, and practiced examples of acronyms, active voice, passive voice, initialism, and palindromes on the board. During computer lab, most of us were able to complete our letter writing, take the AR test over this weeks story, and work on Study Island.

Homework:
***Weekly Homework Packet is due on Friday
***Handwriting pages 14-17
***Grammar-Page 27
(Time in class was given for handwriting and the grammar page.)

Content:
We did not have Social Studies today. We met with Officer Redman for our second D.A.R.E. lesson instead.

Looking Ahead:
***Since our new Social Studies curriculum is pretty laid out for us, it looks as though we will test over Chapter 1 next Thursday, Oct. 8. A study guide will be coming home soon to help the students prepare for the test.

Until tomorrow...
