Brilliant in Blue!

Many students showed their spirit as they wore blue today in recognition of Red Ribbon Week. Remember that tomorrow is red, white, and blue day. Show your school that you vow to be drug-free by wearing these colors.

Today in Language Arts, we reviewed singular and plural nouns as well as the rules that pertain to making certain singular nouns plural. We also spent quite some time reviewing idioms. Be sure to ask your child to name a few. I was pleased with how many they come up with in class. We also added 3 new word roots to our Vocabulary Vine. We are really getting quite a few on our rings. I am also starting to see these new vocabulary words showing up in their writing. Keep up the great work.

Homework: Tomorrow we will have all of our normal assessments in Language Arts. Read 20-30 minutes and record your minutes in your planner. Now is a great time to get a head start on your next AR. The sooner you read and pass your test, the sooner you can start your Treasure Box Project!

In Math today, we took our Unit 9 assessment. It covered multiplying and dividing decimals and fractions, decimals, and percents. Be looking for these to come home soon.

Homework: No math homework

In Social Studies, we played a game to review for our Chapter 2 test which is tomorrow. The students seemed to know so much! I was very proud of how excited they were to play the review game.

Homework: None

Reminders:
***Tomorrow is slipper day! Please bring $1.00 to support adopting our snow leopard.

Until tomorrow...
